Throughout May 2015, “Iare Pekhit” presented Public Art Projects of young Georgian artists, which have been displayed in various central areas of the city. Each project represented current social, ecological and public issues as viewed by the new generation artists. The artists and their public art projects were selected through an open contest. The residents and guests of Tbilisi had a chance to attend project opening events and experience transformed urban spaces. Project “Uare Qalaqs” is an experimental initiative and its goal is to restore the connection between the city and its citizens.
